Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

I have been on Warfarin for about 6 weeks. I was on Fragmin (shots in the stomach) for a few, but I am off those now. Even though I have been told that Warfarin should not cause stomach issues, I have been having some, on and off, with weight loss.
I woke up this morning fine, but within about 2 hours, I starting having pain in my stomach on the right side, even with belly button and slight lower. It has been hurting since I woke up, but is a mild ache when I sit down, and becomes more severe when i stand up.
Im sick of running to the doctor every time I feel an ache.
on a side note, I went to have my doppler redone, and the 2 clots I knew about in my legs are gone. But, the found another one in my ankle. I don't know yet whether it is new, or whether the first hospital I went to missed it.
Anybody have stomach pain with warfarin? Im hoping the pain will just go away, but when I was haing chest pain, I did the same thing...thought, ok, it will go away. It was a PE.

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
I'm sorry I'm such a dope. When I read your post I got my left in right confused. Now that I get that it is your right side do you still have your appendix? If you still have your appendix and it being Friday tomorrow you might just call and get into your doc just to be on the safe side. I hope like ver much I'm totally wrong. Take care of yourself.
If nothing is indeed found, I might be inclined to think it is Warfarin causing the pain, especially after reading this thread. I wonder.
