By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

I tried looking through old posts but there's so many and I couldn't find a search button :-/
I went to my gp a couple of weeks ago with a list of things including a rash on the top of my foot. He said it was where I was bleeding into the skin. It's like tiny red pinpricks but it's getting worse and almost covering the top of my left foot, only about 7 little spots onmy right one though. Has anyone else had this and does it go eventually?

He said it was where I was bleeding into the skin but then never said anything else about it or if anything needed doing. Typical, it's sandal weather here and my foot looks horrible lol.
Yes, I can totally sympathise - I had a rash after being on warfarin for about 8/9 months. I had it on both thighs, and it was raised and bumpy...and very itchy. Stupidly I didn't go to my GP about it...but I did put sudocream on it on a few days and it eventually went away! Sorry I can't give you an insight into what is causing it - but wanted to sympathise with you, and let you know that you're not on your own in this one!!! x x x
