Not rain specifically but my lungs would feel irritated when it was really cold or really humid. For a long time after my PE, I had lingering upper right back pain on and off too.

I'm in Southern California and whenever the weather changes (rain/dry winds) I get flare up headaches and back/lung/rib pain. I also feel like I'm ultra sensitive/paranoid to any thing that feels weird in my body.

Yes I am very paranoid yesterday and today. I think these days are the worst since the PE. So it's kind of scares me. I had the feeling of going to the ER because my HR was up, major back pain with my chest and overall not feeling well.
This morning better but does it get any better?!?!

Yes it gets better. I found the anxiety and worry pretty amped up a few weeks post diagnosis. That is harder to deal with than the recovery, in my opinion. So I think you just gotta stay diligent not to let that spin out of control. Because I think hyper vigilance and hyper awareness makes everything feel ten times more intense.

You are so right rmb.. I feel like I feel things x100 now!! I was trying to meditate and all sorts of coping mechanisms to calm my paranoia and anxiety, but fell off the horse when I started to feel better! Time for me to hop back on!

Ditto here as well. I never was a paranoid person and when I fell to my knees while climbing stairs all the while knowing I was suffering from more "than just Bronchitis" I felt fear. I couldn't breathe. My normally low BP was nuts.

This experience makes one super vigilant. Because bottom line, we just all survived life threatening DVT and PEs!

I can't say it gets better because I am still fresh from Hospital.

My goal is first to just wean off Oxygen. All else comes secondary to that.

Hello. The temps are in the upper 20's in OK today with freezing rain.

My arm and chest are feeling a little funny today after the PE on 1/1/17. Just a little compression in my chest.

I believe this to be normal given the weather but if anyone sees it differently please advise.

I live right across the street from my primary care physician clinic and three blocks from the hospital and given everything I've been through I am quite vigilant so if I feel odd I'll just go over but there won't be any need for that.

I believe it is the weather.

Honestly, I just put these symptoms together for myself because of the rain and humidity too. I live in California, and we haven't had this much rain and humidity since my PE back on 4-4-2014. I was relatively fine for the most part, and then when the rain started coming a lot last month and this month, I've had tightness in my chest again and can't take deep breaths as much, which causes my anxiety to skyrocket because I didn't lose any lung functionality. After thinking about it though, it's probably totally caused by the rain and humidity that we haven't had in YEARS!
