No guarantees but you should be fine.. I took almost a month off at the gym.. and I'm back to doing moderate lifts about 60 to 70% of my pre - PE status.. If anything I think it's helping my recovery but take it easy.. you should know your body the best and pace yourself from lifting consecutively you will get winded .. I still do

Yeah, I know when I was first diagnosed my doc didn't want me lifting weights at the gym, but I think that was just precautionary so I didn't hurt myself.

But otherwise, I don't see an issue. You just have to be mindful. I mean, when you are moving heavy objects you have the potential for something falling on you, hitting your head etc, so I'd just be aware of that component... not so aware you're afraid but just aware so you can be careful.

My husband and I just moved some furniture up to our second floor and while we almost killed each other, I had no problems.

I was wondering the same thing about lifting. My docors all told me to resume life as normal after the hospital stay, but I hadnt felt like wven trying to get back to my pre clot activity level until the last couple of weeks. Well, this weekend my wife and I were working on re organizing the garage, so I was moving and lifting quite a bit. Afterwards I felt fine, but on Monday and today I have noticed my dvt leg is really sore. Also, this morning I had some chest pain (which I hadnt noticed in at least a month). I am wondering now if I overdid it and these pains are the result.

You probably just over did it.

I found that I started experiencing chest pains after 5 months when I started working out. I just slowed down a little and i was able to increase my work outs gradually and avoid the chest pains. It just takes a little practice to figure out your current limits.

I was told not to lift right now because of the fatigue and chest discomfort I still get when overdoing it. The doctor said as soon as I feel physically able to lift stuff, I can start doing it, but listen to my body and scale back if I get chest discomfort and stop immediately if breaking out in cold sweat. I just need to recover more. Everyone is different, but I'm on warfarin for life, and I've been told that lifting and pushing won't be a problem once my body recovers enough.

When you get the chest pain, what does it feel like? For me, I was lifting and exerting on Saturday, and I didn't really notice much discomfort, although I was a bit winded after moving some things or lifting over my head to put stuff in the attic... then on Monday morning, I just got out of the shower and dried off, and I felt like a sharp pain in my left chest when I breathed in-- almost like my lung was getting stuck on one of my ribs..It only lasted a few seconds, and then I was back to normal feeling, but it freaked me out

My chest discomfort if I overdo stuff is a dull ache from under my right shoulder blade around the side of the chest about the location and width of the bra band to the front. I comes on during or right after exertion as a sharp pain under the shoulder blade, then settles down to aching right good for several hours. The only relief I get is lying down on my right side and staying quiet until it goes away.

Just speaking for one person, I kept the same job, which involves occasional lifting, toe-stubbing, and finger-jamming, as I had before SVT/DVT/PE. I am currently considered to be a Warfarin lifer. Other than not getting drunk anymore, very little has changed.
The majority of bumps and bruises on any job, or in any activity (other than high-impact contact sports), are minor. Bruises will grow bigger than they used to and may take a few days longer to become absorbed. You may have to keep the bandage on a cut for a day, where previously you could remove it after a couple hours. Definitely try to keep from dropping things on your foot. For any serious impact to the head or massive blunt impact to the body, report to the ER. So far, six years of borrowed time and counting, I have not had to do that.
