By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
Each of the four times I've spent time in the sun, I've had painful sun blisters the next day, with no sign of tanning. I've lived my life in the sun without this ever happening before.
Yesterday I did some research to see if this might be due to the warfarin.
Who knew? There was no warning.
From this report, it looks like the older we get, the more likely we are to have a photosensitive reaction to the sun.

I used to tan easily, but no longer. I'm wearing a hat from now on, and I hope I haven't done any serious damage to my skin due to this new photo sensitivity.
Be warned - it looks like age 40 is when we become susceptible, with a greater likelihood of a photosensitive reaction as we age.

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
That said, though, I would be concerned if I were you and was suddenly getting sun blisters. I hope you have mentioned it to your doc. It could be another med you are on or maybe a combo of that med and the warfarin.
Me, personally, I'm super-fair and burn like crazy anyway. Hats and 50 suncreen are my friends.
I am approaching the 50 y.o. mark in a few years and have been on Coumadin on and off since 1992 (low intensity since 2000). Never a problem with photosensitivity, and I spent a lot of time outdoors.
