Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

Hello,
I am 9mos post PE so far I've been doing good sense I been off the coumadin in Dec 2013.. A few months ago I started having ongoing palpatations everyday that doesn't seem to want to go away!!! So last week on Wednesday I started having chest pains when I went on vacation but before I went on vacation 2weeks before I had a D Dimer test done and it was negative!!!
I'm just wondering is this still a healing process for me to be having chest pain and left arm pain??
When I came bk from vacation I did see my doctor and she listened to my heart and lungs, she said everything sounds really good. So she said she will call me bk in for a heart monitor for the palpations..
Please help I need some advice for these chest pain & palpations
Thank you:)

Nationalday.com proclaims September 28th as Self Aware Day. I took a few snaps of various core values lists and tried to pick my top five core values (kinda hard to only pick 5). But here are my top picks. Feel free to list a few of yours too:GodLovePeaceStability Compassion

Now that I am not talking to my whatever best friend, I realized that her life is full of drama. I had grown tired of hearing her stories about her boyfriend many months ago. She basically had been monopolizing conversations for that long too. She pretty much stopped asking me questions about me. I passed her in front of her classroom the other day and didn't even look at her. I am...

Left arm pain combined with chest pain, to me isn't PE recovery related. I'm surprised your doc just listened to your heart and didn't also order an EKG. My advise is to follow up with your doc on that.
2weeks before I went on vacation I had an EKG it was normal and also my labs, d dimer.. But I noticed when I was on vacation I did have slight anxiety while on the airplane along with the palpations. I also noticed at night while laying down my heart is pounding so hard!! I have no clue why because I'm calm watching tv relaxing, but out of no we're my heart will start pounding really hard.
I drinks lots of water everyday just about 8 - 10 cups and yes I am anemic all my life have been. I take 1 iron pill at night and take 2 when I'm on my period.
I've noticed over the last couple of years the palps just before I get my period. Feels like my heart is jumping out of my chest, and I always notice it when I'm laying down.I think my hormones being out of whack before my period causes that and I think it happening when I lay down is just that I notice it more because I'm relaxed and don't have a lot of distractions.
Anxiety is a bear and it's sneaky, like even when I think I'm relaxed, I suspect I'm really not, that internally, there's stuff just churning. So maybe it's just that for you, or the hormone thing, or the anemia thing. I know anemia can really cause breathlessness, chest discomfort and heart palps. I've had bouts of anemia on and off for years and it can totally mess with your body.
Heart palps are not unusual and are often occurring for a benign reason. I think if you're getting anxious about the heart palps, that's going to make it worse, increase your chest discomfort etc, so it's like this cycle.
