By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

I just wrote a really personally inspiring blog entry about not letting PE get the best of me and I just wanted to share it with you lot. I'm feeling really positive today. The last two days I have walked more, and done more, than I have done in the last two months!! I'm so proud of myself for getting over my fear of everything! I really feel like I am finally starting to get better!! I don't know why I'm feeling so awesome today, Im just, bursting with positive energy!! Minus the afternoon need of a nap :P I still get tired and I still feel afraid sometimes, but I'm definately getting there!
