Yes, yes, yes, I've been dealing with that ever since my PEs, last September. It got so bad in December that I ended up, once again, in the ER: went all numb on the left side and they tested me for a TIA, considering I now have a history of clotting.

In the end, I was OK, though the doctor said that general numbness is often hard to explain.

I still have it, especially in my arm and hand and in my feet and legs, though not as bad as it was in December.

Sure have. My PE's were back in August and this happens to me often. Since then I actually have been diagnosed with a seizure disorder because I had other symptoms too. Although I wonder if my lungs have just not recovered yet. I had a VQ scan a few weeks ago and it showed that my clots have not yet cleared up.

I definately did. Not so much in my feet, but definately in my hands even though my DVT was in my pelvis. It got better after about 4 months, and I haven't had any trouble since going off warfarin at 6 months except for the occasional "slept on my arm wrong" numbness. For me, I really think muscle tension played a HUGE role in my post PE pain. I wasn't relaxing EVER, and was so tense when I was asleep that I would sometimes wake up with my fists clenched. Just my own theory though.

Thanks for the response......how about night sweats? I am getting night sweats......I thought I had the anxiety piece whipped......maybe not! (-:

Night sweats are still a major issue for me and are associated with PEs. It's better now: at least the bed is not soaked like it was when I was in the hospital, but still have them.

I had my PE last August, I would get numbness in my hands everyday, sometimes so bad I couldn't hold things. Since coming off warfarin in February, it is much better. Now only occasionally get numbness at night.

I had problems with balance. It took four years to get it diagnosed by an ENT. The first thing the ENT asked me was about tingling and numbness in my leg. All of it, the tingling, the numbness and the problems with balance were a result of damage done to the nerves in my leg due to lack of oxygen the two months I had the clot. Just a thought.

that's interesting about the balance: I still have lots of numbness issues and balance has also been a major issue.

My hands & feet hurt almost every day... sensations of numbness in hands and feet and throbbing in feet often... somedays my feet hurt so bad it feels as if I am walking on shards of glass.... I was thinking it was a side affect of the coumadin (jantovin). I'm going back to work soon & fearful about hand/feet pain (as well of being SOB a lot).

Sometimes the pain radiates down my left arm too... When the chest pain & arm pain kick in together, felt like heart attack. Eccocargiogram came back good --Thank God!

Maybe worth looking into:
Low calcium levels
Low vitamin B12 levels

Also, anxiety and dehydration can cause tingling sensations in feet, hands and limbs.
