Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

I have been feeling pretty good actually so I haven't posted recently. But, Sunday, I started having chest pains. Having experienced that in the past, I just took it easy and rested on Sunday, returning to work Monday. I have been having chest pains since then. Yesterday, I started having an irregular heartbeat, and its not going away. I had a heart time falling asleep last night beause of it. Today, I am tired, dizzy, and sick to my stomach. I feel horrible, and now I am emotional b/c I am so sick and tired of not feeling well. Nobody really understands the ups and down. I felt fine for a couple of weeks, and so everybody assumes on the mend. NOw, I have had a set back. Im short of breathe, and don't know whether I should just go to the ER, or go back to the doc, or suck it up.
My doc just kept saying, you will have these setbacks, if anything gets worse, or different call me. So, I suppose I should, but honestly, I am tired of going back and forth, tired of spending the money. I have a work thing that I feel obligated to go to in an hour, but maybe Ill go this afternoon.

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
And your doc is right on his advice about set backs. Call him when in doubt.
But yeah, make sure you are hydrated, and try to give yourself some down time. The hot summertime always made things worse for me, so I'd have a lot of trouble when I hung out outside.
As for your doc, it is worth calling and describing what is going on and asking if your doc can call you or thinks you need to come in. There's no reason to run in for an appointment every time you start to feel weird. I've talked to my doc plenty of times on the phone. Puts my mind at ease and there is no co-pay! If your doc will do that, it might help you out.
