I know some chronic inflammatory diseases can make people more prone to clots. So depending on what is causing the rash, maybe there's a link that way but hard to say for sure.

Yeah, as rmb mentions any chronic inflammatory disease is a possibility but there are many others too. No link with FVL at least in my years of self-education. Only skin related condition with anticoagulants is Warfarin-Induced Skin Necrosis but that is a very, very small portion of patients who also have underlying Protein C or S deficiency. This condition is extremely rare and I only personally know one person who that had every happened to (a friend of mine who is a spokesperson for the Gary Sinese Foundation, she's a medical retired Army Captain who lost her leg as a result of a DVT and being placed on high dose of Coumadin).

But that condition is totally different that what you mention. There are many things that it can be, even some soap products containing strong chemicals that can lead to the same symptoms as you mentioned. Borrowing from Healthline: "The symptoms of soap poisoning will depend on how the affected person was poisoned and how much contact they had with the soap products. If the soap or detergent has come into contact with your skin, you may have irritation, small holes, or even burns on top layer of skin."

Again, could be anything which is why its hard for your healthcare professionals to determine the cause.

Ok, this is gross, but scabies can cause little holes in your skin that itch like mad. Although that is pretty easy to diagnose so it would be unusual that so many doctors wouldn't be able to diagnose thatt. But to Tom's point, I think there can be many reasons and causes for skin issues, most of which probably have nothing to do with blood clotting disorders or blood clots themselves.

Concerning your skin condition, I did see something on an emergency room television show that sounds similar. This lady had gone to her dermatologist complaining of an extremely itchy scalp. He was not able to make a diagnosis.

Now it had gotten so bad that she was in the emergency room. She too had very small holes in her skin. The emergency room doctor was very perplexed, as well. While he was inspecting one of these holes he saw somthing poke out of the hole, and then go back in. Turns out, it was some kind of worm. How she got these worms that burrowed into her scalp they didn't know. They were able to get rid of them for her.

I'm not saying you have worms, just sounds sort of similar.

There's a condition called Morgellon's disease which is highly controversial. I can't say I believe it or NOT believe it but I do know of some respected doctor's who do believe it.

Well, went to my General Doctor and after examining my skin, said that he thinks it might be a bacterial infection. He gave me an antibiotic to take for the infection and a steroid injection for the intense itching. When I asked him about the Coumadin's reactions to these new drugs, he thought the effect would be minimal and safe to go ahead and use. So, we'll see?

I have a lot of trouble with antibiotics affecting my INR. You should make a point to get tested about four days after starting them to make sure your numbers aren't going wonky. Hopefully they won't, but it is always better to make sure. If your numbers do change, short-term dose changes should be OK until you finish up the antibiotics.

Truthfully, I think most antibiotics will affect INR (or can affect it anyway, it can be different for every person), so it wouldn't matter if you asked for a different one. If that's the treatment you need, your INR can be managed around it.

Right. I just assume any antibiotic could potentially affect my INR and some antibiotics seen to have more an affect than others. If you need the meds, you need the meds. You just have to work around them a bit when it comes to your INR.
