Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

At four months out from dvt/pe, I realize that I've been on anticoagulants ever since; and it occurred to me that, not having ever been on them before, I can't be clear about recognizing what may be dvt/pe aftermath versus what may be warfarin side effects. For example, I've read that warfarin can be connected to SOB; but then so can pe, right? This is to ask: does anyone have any experience/opinion/knowledge about how to sort it out and correctly attribute symptoms/side effects? The issues might include (but are not limited to) SOB, rapid heart rate/palpitations, and sudden debilitating fatigue (with and w/o having overdone it). Many thanks for giving this some thought.

Nationalday.com proclaims September 28th as Self Aware Day. I took a few snaps of various core values lists and tried to pick my top five core values (kinda hard to only pick 5). But here are my top picks. Feel free to list a few of yours too:GodLovePeaceStability Compassion

Now that I am not talking to my whatever best friend, I realized that her life is full of drama. I had grown tired of hearing her stories about her boyfriend many months ago. She basically had been monopolizing conversations for that long too. She pretty much stopped asking me questions about me. I passed her in front of her classroom the other day and didn't even look at her. I am...

As for the chest pain and SOB, I don't know how to differentiate that from the PE, Lovenox or Warfarin. I know it gets worse after my Lovenox shots (yep, still on those at 4 weeks out) and so I feel sure it is the main cause, but there are other times when it comes on sporadically.
The rapid heart beat.....I get that, too, but didn't attribute it to anything, just figured it was me and I just never noticed it before....but now I am wondering if it is a symptom from something. I am taking a beta blocker and even though I can feel it slow me down after taking it, I still get random rapid heart beat feelings throughout the day, but when I check my heart it isn't beating all that fast, at least not as fast as I feel it is.
Do you get those sharp shooting pains in random places in your body from the Warfarin? Those are definitely the most frustrating and painful for me.
I stopped warfairin at 6 months for me the fatigue was still there for 5 or 6 months after. I had asked my doctor about the fatigue I was having and she explained that my heart was working so hard to get blood thru my lungs that I had no energy to do every day task. ...That make sense to me. For me most of the sob, I was having was done and over with when I stopped the warfairin. However, with 6 months of shorter slower walks took there toll, and I had to re-build what I had lost.. I personal think it was more the PE and the side effects, but everyone is different.

Personally, I've experienced very few side effects from warfarin, and I think most people attribute a lot of stuff to warfarin, when in fact, it's related to recovery from the PE.
I also hink people completely underestimate the physical symptoms of anxiety, which includes SOB, chest pain, dizziness, tingling, rapid heart rate etc. I also think when you aren't staying well hydrated you can experience these same things.
