By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
tomorrow i have surgery to close a congenital heart defect called a pfo or hole between two chambers of the heart. when i had the first massive PE"S five years ago and all the time since i have at time been treated like a hypochondriac the person with the longest medical charts, mosts things that can go wrong at one time. basically when i had the first clots all i kept hearing is your o2 level is 92,93,94m95 you get it. nothing is wrong as recently as 6 weeks ago two cardiologist that have been doing test on me for 5 years with frustrated voices have assured me over and over my heart is fine,perfect,nothing wrong, if not for this wonderful pulminolagist who would not give up and ordered one more cardiac test no one would have found the large hole or the fact that my o2 rate had finally gotten to the point where it was it was in the 70's at night .
i think it took this long to find the problem with the hole was manageable until i was hit with a series of horrible PE's. they were looking at acute illness ,scar tissue. i don't think it ever entered anyone's mind to believe me when i was saying screw the o2 numbers and listen to what i am saying. so when acute hit birth defect and over time and second massive PE"S and worsening someone did not give up and listened to me not the numbers. so tomorrow the horrific ever worsening migraines, daily vomiting, my ever present oxygen tank, hopefully the tachycardia hr 125-165++ should all go away slowly or quickly would be better. the migraines alone sent me to er 3 days alone this week 1 by ambulance because i could not stand or stop vomiting dr. says good chance they will go away. ' i can't wait for the surgery but i can;t believe it took so long for this anomaly to be found. tomorrow is the big day.

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.

after i got back in the room the nurses were talking about how many kids they have and there ages. i told them mine and that i was 53 two of the keep saying no way you look 40 i we were laughing so hard i made here get the other nurses for a guessing contest. i told them the could all stay and keep saying 40,40,40, over all i feel like i have been run over by a truck which surprised me. i have had 4 other procedures were the doc enter thru the groin and it did not hurt at all, this one did. the docs said the devices used were larger than have been used in the past. i thought not a truck chest is sore from vomiting for three days straight non stop before the surgery so hope that goes away soon. the staff and doctors were wonderful a far different experience then i have had in the past. hear to no oxygen, no migraines, no vomiting. glory be to god all the praying people and two doctors in particular that didn't know the meaning of the word give up or accuse patient
avg bpb 120 . asleep on drugs and still. i have a hard time understanding this and cardiologist says it will not change from the pfo procedure.
