By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

I have heard that laughter is good for the soul, but I'm here to say it is also GREAT for the lungs. I had the opportunity during the last 9 days to be around people that have made me laugh out loud frequently. After 7 days of this "treatment" I climbed a flight of stairs without being totally short of breath for the first time in four months! I am a believer. I am setting up my netfix account with stand up comedians and comedys. I will count this as an added treatment to my daily walking! Best of luck,

Lately, I've been watching the Golden Girls (yes, I love that show and I don't care who knows it) and it makes me feel good to have a genuine laugh.
Taking the time to enjoy some healthy amusement should be a standard component of everyone's therapy.
