Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

Hi, so I had my PE last month after having surgery on my foot, and have been on warfarin ever since. I have always gotten just terrible cramps in my legs and stomach when I have my period, and have often thrown up and almost passed out because of them, but for the last few years I have been able to manage them with birth control pills and lots and lots of motrin lol. Now though, I had to obviously stop taking the bc pills and can't take things like motrin, and I am dying!! I have pins and screws holding my foot together right now and 4 big incesions from my surgery, and the pain from that is absolutely nothing compared to my leg cramp pain. I have been curled up in a ball all day like crying and trying to stop myself from vomiting because it is so bad. Its so frustrating being in so much pain and knowing that it can easily be fixed with motrin, and yet I can't take it. My doctor told me I could take tylenol, but that stuff sucks! I am just wondering how other people are dealing with their cramps, and if there are any medications that we are allowed to take that actually work? Thanks!

Now that I am not talking to my whatever best friend, I realized that her life is full of drama. I had grown tired of hearing her stories about her boyfriend many months ago. She basically had been monopolizing conversations for that long too. She pretty much stopped asking me questions about me. I passed her in front of her classroom the other day and didn't even look at her. I am...

HUGGS, HOPE
I hope you feel better soon! There is a light at the end of the tunnel, however small, believe me!
Meditation can help. It doesn't make the pain go away but it allows you to cope. Also, warm baths, heating pads etc can help.
