By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
Well, I had more bleeding issues this week and ended up back in the hospital. After all the doctors conferred....there were six different specialist....they decided to take me off warfarin and put in an IVC filter until they can determine the next course of action. As well as I am now on my fourth set of PEs.
I came home today and feel some better. But as far as recovering from my last PE....I'm back to square one. And I need to add in recovery from the hematoma cause by warfarin and a pulled muscle.
The surgery for the filer was nothing. It took about 30 minutes and you are under conscious sedation...so I didn't even fall asleep. I don't think. But they also give you a drug to forget...so I don't really know.
Anyway...still hanging in there and now will see what all the experts advised.
