Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

What do you do when you can't get through to your children 20 15 and 12 that mom just went through a life threatening experience and when they don't even act like they care and they roll their eyes and say whatever mom your so dramatic. I have felt so alone through all this and then I get home from being in ICU and it was just an inconvenience to their schedule the church is bringing me food cancer survivors willing to come clean my house my own children could care less and would step over me if I fell out in front of them. Did I mention the night I had the PE I was told I was being paranoid and stop it your overreacting an had to beg my husband to take me to the ER by threatening to call 911. My 5 yr old just called me stupid mama for not getting his drink fast enough. I am 3 1/2 weeks post op from hysterectomy and I had to be up and at work in 10 days and not miss a beat. I wanna pack a bag and stay at a hotel just so I can recover but can't afford to.

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
I think that it affects our families just as much as us, they all have different ways of dealing with the fear..your 5 yr old is maybe a little too young too fully understand, and I guess that is really a blessing, hard as it is on you, its a blessing that they have been spared the full knowledge of how serious this is..
This is my advice to you and I have 4 sometimes very selfish kids... put yourself first, be a little selfish, hell be a lot selfish, but put yourself first, if they won't give you the emontional support you need then look to yourself and the good people who are around you for it, you are lucky to have caring people coming in and helping, so talk to them and share your feelings, sometimes just getting it of your chest is such a relief!
The house and your family will not fall apart if you take out some time for yourself, they might be acting like they don't care but they do..at their ages though, they are all about themselves, it doesnt mean they don't love you or care it just means that at present the sun revolves around them in their eyes!
I hope that you start to feel better soon and remember you are not alone ever!
Take care of yourself :)
I wouldn't suggest moving halfway around the world as a solution, but hey! It'll work! LOL
You'll be having a year long 'winter', won't you? Leaving AU just when your winter is ending and then moving to Denver when another winter is starting.
Brrrr!
I had no pain when I came home, just very, very tired so I did my usual stuff but much slower and with lots of naps.
Just try to take care of yourself. Good luck
I had PE's in my lungs and one DVT in my left leg.
Take control. It's about you right now, and pleading with your kids or spouse to try to understand is like hitting your head on a brick wall over and over again. You just gotta lay the law down how it's going to be right now. They'll get over it.
