Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

With the stress of my MIL dying my INR has been all over the place. It went up to 3.5 and now has dropped to 1.7.
I have clotted before at 2.0 and am supposed to sit around 2.5
I am having trouble getting the level to pick back up.
Also today I fell off a chair - it's leg broke off - and I dislocated my shoulder and reinjured my back.
I must need some serious lessons in patience and deep breathing coz I'm being tested a lot at the moment.
Just to top off my day, my son had a massive meltdown , he has autism and isn't coping well with the changes , which lasted 3 1/2 hrs.
Hopefully the INR picks up soon otherwise may have to bridge with clexane.

Nationalday.com proclaims September 28th as Self Aware Day. I took a few snaps of various core values lists and tried to pick my top five core values (kinda hard to only pick 5). But here are my top picks. Feel free to list a few of yours too:GodLovePeaceStability Compassion

Now that I am not talking to my whatever best friend, I realized that her life is full of drama. I had grown tired of hearing her stories about her boyfriend many months ago. She basically had been monopolizing conversations for that long too. She pretty much stopped asking me questions about me. I passed her in front of her classroom the other day and didn't even look at her. I am...

Try to take some time for yourself to just regroup, if for nothing else your sanity. The INR will eventually even out.
For example, I've been running around 2.0 or 2.1 for a couple of months now. Last week I went on a crazy fun vacation to Florida (Disney, Universal Studios, etc.). And my INR suddenly bounced to 3.1. I mean, its hard to pin down exactly what caused the change. The emotions of the trip? The time zone change? Fighting off a cold? Running out of a different medication that I usually take?
Basically, I think ANY situation where things go kind of wonky for a while (bad situation like grief or good situation like vacation) can have an effect on the INR. You've got a bazillion things going on right now so it is no wonder that your INR is a little weird too. I'd be somewhat surprised if your numbers aren't wonky.
It might be worth getting a couple weeks of shots to hold in reserve for a while until things smooth out. Then, if your INR is low, you can do shots for a few days until it picks back up. It'd be one less thing to worry about, at least, and you'd know that you were covered in terms of reclotting.
My thoughts are with you as you and your family go through this tough, tough time. Hang in there!
So yeah, that whole INR thing is a sensitive little bugger particularly if life is out of whack.
And I agree too that maybe having some clexane on hand will just help you know you have a back up.
