today i went to the hospital for the results of the blood tests that the haematology dept did last month (the ones that they werent going to do until i insisted and kept on at them for). They were 2 abnormal results and they indicate that i need further testing in august to determine whether or not i have Hughes Syndrome, does anyone on here have Hughes Syndrome? The are also testing for lupus aswell........ It explains the extreme tiredness, blurred vision, brain fog, tingling fingers, aching knees, pain across the top of my tummy after eating meals, just all the usual stuff - im not sure how i feel today - i kind of hoped that they would say all was normal but then i would always have the underlying niggling question of what caused my pe's, at least this way i will find out that there was a reason, does that make sense? Potentially i will be a lifer on warfarin - my sister reckons that i should have a pre diagnosis party and have my fill of alcohol since its not such a good idea whilst on warfarin! lol..... one thing i am sure of is that i am so very glad i have persisted with this, you know you just get a feeling when something isnt right - i knew to trust my instincts - well i havent been diagnosed as yet but at least its getting checked again and its looking like we have found the answer.... i will keep you posted, next appt 21 august.... in the meantime ive to be extra vigilant (OMG dont they know that i will now definitely have a few irrational moments and present myself at accident and emergency thinking i have more clots). Gin & Tonic anyone?
