Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
When I was first on warfarin, I always came from a place of no- no I can't do that; I might hurt myself.
Over the last few years, I come from a place of yes- if I want to do something, I'm doing it, aware, but without fear. That's how you get whole again.
Don't tell my middle nephew though - he knows I owe him a trip to Disneyland already :)
