By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

Well, Things have been nuts over here!
I truly miss my lovely friends here on DS so I thought Id give a shout out!
How are you all??
I cant believe I am 8.5 months post... There were days I never thought Id make it this far and look at me...Im alive and making it to my 22nd bday.
I will be 22 March 6. Although I wont have the drink filled rip roaring good time that Id like Im really focusing on being here... Being thankful to celebrate another year.
Doing muh better physically, aside from very far spread apart minor twinges of pain im doing well. I have unfortunately gained a total of 10lbs since starting coumadin which is the opposite of what I was aiming at. But what am I gunna do, Ill get back on my treadmill at some point. My upper body muscles are still weak I bought some light dumb bells but havnt really consistantly worked on it.
My new kitty has really brought some pure joy and laughter to my life. I noticed a huge drop in my heart rate since having him around hehe, hes my anxiety curing kitty. I find myself needing to take adavan less and less which makes me happy as I really hate taking pills!
My gf and I have been getting along great, which is a blessing and in case you havnt read my journal Ive moved back into my apt.
The only thing that totally sucks right now is Ive lost my job due to the business going under and my boss going totally insane and treating me like crap...so im on the job hunt now lol.
But as a person Ive evolved so much, and the changes ive made are not alwahys present but when they pop up they surprise me in such a fabulous way everytime. Sometimes we need something soo crazy as a pe to happen to really step back and take a look at how we are skating through our lives and even though Id never wish this on anyone, im glad it happened when I was younger so that the rest of my life will be more appreciated!
I really hope that all my dear friends are doing well. I am trying my best to keep up with posts and journals, and everything but I so miss u all and would love to know how ur doing. I guess in a way, I think its awesome that we are all not on DS 24.7 anymore like so many of us were, I mean thats how we became so close and thats beautiful... but whats even more profound is that I find that Im seeling less and less of my good friends because they are finding getting back to their natural lives more comfortably!!! and yay for that.
I am so proud of you all for being such wonderful people, I truly know how strong you all are...bc ive suffered with all of u... but yay for all of my friends things are getting better... and for all the newbies who have made it to the end of this novel please know your all going to be ok!

I just got discharged from the hospital with my second bout of DVT, PE, and severe anemia. It's a tricky little combo that I had two years ago and thought was gone forever. NOT. The only "forever" part is being told I'd be on Coumadin the rest of my life.
I can't tell you what a relief it is to find this support group. I don't know anyone else with my condition, and am just this minute starting to read the posts. Thank you all for being here.
I'm feeling much much better now and have done 5 weeks back at work. I'm still gradually increasing my hours but was so relieved to find that I could go to work and actually feel OK that it gave me the confidence to book flights to see my granddaughter at Easter. Now I'm on warfarin for life I'm not likely to clot on a plane journey so am counting the days until the 8th April - not long now! Hope your job hunting goes well. Any employer should think themselves lucky to have you! Take care - love Sandi x
