By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
i havent been on in forever, i really should have checked in with you guys!
ive been doing ok. ive been off the warfarin since the 2nd week of november, and while i was panicky about it the first few weeks, not having to scrupulously count every single thing i ate or drank has been lovely.
im getting my energy back as well, ive been going to the gym six days a week, except during carnival. wholeheartedly threw myself off the wagon for that couple of weeks *grins*
its nice finally being able to seriously get after rehabbing my leg. PT is damn near impossible when you cant get any oxygen.
i hope everyone is doing well, and to all the new folks, just keep in mind it WILL eventually get better.

I'm back at work too and feeling much better but can't seem to wean myself off this site! I can't help checking in every day to see how all my new friends are doing post PE and love to celebrate with them when they start to get their life back too. Its good to feel that I'm now able to give the same sort of help and advice that kept my spirits up a few months ago - Take care - love Sandi x
