Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

I am 3 weeks post bilateral muliple pulmonary emboli and a DVT. I have had some ups and downs...mostly downs....in the last few weeks. I was quite discouraged yesterday after waking up groggy, dizzy, and in pain, AGAIN. I worked a few hours, left exhausted, and came home to do what I have done pretty much every day for 3 weeks...that is to sit on my couch, eat crackers b/c that is the only thing that I really want to eat, and do nothing.
I woke up this morning, not feeling great. Groggy. I thought here I go again. But, I feel great, almost 100%. Yes, I have some upper back pain which hits when I get tired, and some mild shortness of breath, but I feel good. I am not hot or cold, I am not dizzy, i don't have a headache, i don't feel like I want to curl in a ball on my floor and sleep. I can actually get out of my desk and walk around without feeling like I want to collapse. I am actually eating lunch (ok, soup and more crackers), but this is all good.
Im not illusioned to think that the bad will not come back, but since today is the best I have felt since weeks before my PE, i figured it was cause to celebrate!
oh, and I even have a cold today. But, I still feel great (and I don't know if I can take cold medicine and haven't yet called my doctor to ask....)

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
You may want to ask your pharmacist which over the counter meds would interact least with your warfarin. They're a great resource for this kind of info. I ask my pharmacist about interactions all the time. And I do take cold meds when needed.
So glad to hear you are having a good day. They are a blessing.
Mine wasn't too shabby either.
This is the second week in a row my INR has been at 2.6 !
