Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
Its an interesting thought though about coumadin helping to protect us, we can only hope.

Crazy weirdos must think alike- Ferr and I, that is.
I always thought I would end up with a stroke at some point in my life- given my basilar migraine diagnosis and blood clotting disorder.
But now, I'm not a bit worried, as a coumadin lifer!
My husband have this on-going "joke" where I have him promise to let me die first because I don't want to live w/out him. But since he's 6 years older than me and male, he says it's unlikely. I was honestly convinced I would die young before I had my last PE (maybe it was that PE "doom" stuff).
Again, now that I'm a coumadin lifer, I may live to 100 with y'all!
Yep think I do come into the crazy weido catagory! Dont care. Life would be boring for the sane people if it wasnt for us LOL
