Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

Tonight I did my typical hour and at a decent resistance level with no SOB. It was heaven (not because I love exercise so much as the fact that it made me truly believe my life will one day be normal again).
@rmb, you are so right! The exercise has also been helpful for my depression and anxiety from the whole situation. I noticed last night I struggled with sleep, I was just too sad and my mind was spinning.....and that was the night I didn't get some exercise. Hmmmm, suspicious.
The other thing that has motivated me to get on the elliptical, aside from the desire to change my entire lifestyle so that I can feel confident to get off Warfarin someday, is that it has helped me with the shooting body pains that the Warfarin has been causing me. I am not sure if it is the exercise itself or just the distraction. I wait until right after I take my Warfarin at 7pm and then go straight to the elliptical and I don't have Warfarin body pains the rest of the night! Strange, but isn't everything in the world of PEs?
Thanks for reading my little blurb. I definitely do not want to make anyone else feel worse, I am just so grateful to have these "normal" moments of being emotionally and physically pain free. I cherish them.
I know people do yoga and stuff to help de-stress. That has never worked for me, probably because I don't find it enjoyable in any way, shape or form, for me personally. I need to amp up my heart to feel like I'm de-stressing, that or hit something over and over again, which is why my husband and I have a punching bag hanging in our basement but I worry about doing that because of bruising from warfarin. I don't have proper boxing gloves, but I'm thinking of getting some just so I can beat the hell out of the thing.
Anyway, sorry for babbling. I just want you to know there are others out here who are trying to manage the exercise too. I'm proud of you, because I know how hard it is to stay motivated and keep pushing through. And you don't need to worry about making others feel worse. That's crazy talk. This is about you.
