Does anyone else see a Chiropractor on Warfarin

I have had some realty bad back pain and saw a chiropractor I saw a post that said if on blood thinning medication should not be seeing one. I was told that the tools and spinal manipulations are safe and fine. Help I have to go 3 times a week for next 4 weeks

I've seen chiropractors pretty much my entire life since I was in 5th grade and hit my head on the bottom of a swimming pool. I've seen them while both on and off warfarin and have never had an issue.

I mean, I make sure they are aware that I'm on warfarin and I tend to resist any topical gels or "natural" supplements that they might push ... just because I have no way of knowing how it'll affect my INR.

If you're worried, always ask more questions, but I've never had anyone tell me NOT to go.

My doctor actually recommended I go to the chiropractor, and I went starting about 2 months post PE. It really helped me a lot. Since my doctor was comfortable with it, and my chiropractor was comfortable and experienced with treating people on warfarin, I felt like it was safe. I can't wait until the first of the year when my chiropractic coverage starts over so I can go again! I went 3 times a week for the first couple weeks and it definately made me feel better, not worse!

Chrio, massage, acupuncture... I see them all when needed. Well, massage is every two weeks and she gets REALLY deep. Echo the comments re supplements etc.

Hi,
I see an osteopath. She has been fine with treating me while on warfarin except she doesn't do the normal neck manipulations (where she 'cracks' my neck due to being on blood thinning medication and the risks.
