Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

Ive been fighting leg pains for the last 3.5 months since my PE dx 4.5months ago. Upon initial dx, no DVT was found in either leg. I've recently in the last 2 wks went for a full body X-ray plus 2 u/s to check for baker cyst and had a Doppler study done again which shows no clots in either leg again. It is now being assumed my initial clot started in my pelvis sometime near the end of my pregnancy or during/after delivery. I'm so tired of these leg pains. Both legs get that creepycrawly feeling up and down it multiple times a day, will go numb then accompanied with the pins and needles feeling, at times it hurts to walk or to weightbare on either leg and my ankles and calves are constantly sore and achy. The last 4 days the pain in my ankles keep getting worse feeling as though I've rolled them but I haven't. Drs don't know what's the cause and with recent u/s coming back "normal" they've pretty much closed my concerns and said to just take Tylenol in hopes it's all muscular.
Is anyone out there experiencing similar in going pains? Or have any insight to what could be going on?
Thanks in advance

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.

Many different 'traumas' can cause them. In my case they started years ago when I contracted Lyme disease. They persist to this day and have even gotten worse in the past year or so. (PE and damage to the glia cells?)
Diabetics seem to be prone to them. But so do many other diseases/conditions.
I hope that you can find some relief from the pains and maybe when you go off warfarin (or are you a lifer?) they will regress.
I refuse to take K. but I do keep the twitches a little under control with regular magnesium and calcium capsules. Just a thought.
No, my legs don't twitch. It's more of pressure/squeezing, numbness and a pinching feeling. I'll read up more on peripheral neuropathy thank you Cave :).
RMB - I've had every blood test possible. My glucose levels are normal, thyroid is in range, iron is looking good, b12 looks fine full CBC is a-ok I do have to keep up with hydration because currently breastfeeding so I'm drinking a minimum or 12 8oz glasses of water a day more on hot days.
Jenner here's hoping your pain starts to subside. It gives me a sense of relief that I'm not the only one having these odd pains though. Just wish a dr could confirm whats going on amd maybe helo ease the pain and uncomfortable feeling it brings.
Congrats on finishing treatment! I have about 6wks left then I'll see my hema to go off and finish my genetic testing. A part of me is so excited for end of September to come...another part of me is already shitting bricks (excuse my language). I don't like warfarin and what it's doing to my body but I fear coming off, something will happen.
