By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
But, really, only you know what this feels like to you. If this is causing you a lot of stress, I would go get it checked out. Better to be relaxed for the holidays than otherwise. Best wishes!
It's normal to freak out about something like this, after my treatment finished I worried about every little twinge and still do sometimes! But I agree with the others, it's better to get it checked out if you are concerned, at least it will put your mind at rest if nothing else.
