By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
I know being on anticoagulants makes us prone to bruises but have you noticed it takes longer for them to diminish?
I'm already on iron supplements to keep my levels a little higher during treatment yet bruising like crazy still.

Yes it does take me longer to get rid of bruises, but I don't bruise nearly as much as I thought I would. I don't worry bruises generally. If it's very large, looks like a hematoma and isn't showing improvement over a couple of weeks, or it continue to grows, then I'd probably given my doc a call, as a just in case.
