Huh, that is very interesting as I told my husband a couple weeks ago that it looked like I had more freckle looking moles and wondered if they popped up from our caribbean vacation before I went in for surgery or what. I had no idea this could be yet another issue from bc pills. Ugh, will it ever end?

No good answer, but one of my bffs can't take the pill because it gives her basically sunspots - darkened moles on her (freckly) face when she's out in the sun.

hmm interesting... yeh I think im just noticing everything about my body now!!! Im going to a dermatologist in dec, I know they have cremes that fade spots. Ive always had them but I think the birth control made them darker. Regardless my general doc checked them out and said they were healthy and fine, and if I wanted to look into something being cosmetically removed or something to talk it over with the dermatologist. I know there is one large mole on my arm I would liek to have removed. But i also would like to get some of that fading creme.

My mom, a couple of my girlfriends and I have all experienced darker patches (not necessarily darker moles or darker freckles - I have tons of harmless moles, too). It happened to me about two years ago where I developed these darker sorta tan colored patches in two places on my forehead, and they got darker as I developed a tan. They were totally symmetrical and kind of almost looked ... um, "demonic" like I had devil horns! lol! My mom joked that they were the anti-stigmata! Thankfully, they were not that noticeable and could be blended well and easily with very little make-up. Eventually they faded even though I stayed on the pill. I dont' have them at all anymore.

A couple of my girlfriends have gone to dermatologists to get the bleaching cream you're referring too - with very good results. Any dermatologist should be well-versed in this, so if you feel you must I'm sure you'll have good results.

That being said ... I LOVE my moles and freckles and wouldn't change them or get rid of them for the world! The devil patches I could do without, but I love the moles. And I long for the days of my teenage years when I had a sprinkling of freckles on my nose. *sigh* Definitely give it some thought, and know that there are options out there.

hehe khurney! I love some of my moles and freckles but not all of them...Im mean! But I feel that the b.c. has exagerated them..

My friend in high school used to tell me
"a girl without freckles is a sky without stars" and that makes me smile I dont think Ill ever forget that one 8) But anyways glad to see I have a spotty sister out there in PEland. I dont think I deleloped those tannish patches you talk about but I know what your talking about.

And yes, they used the cream on their faces ... I would imagine that's probably the most gentle kind. I wonder if they have something more dramatic for other areas?
