Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
This has been covered before on the group. Here's one thread from the past that might give you some insight:

There's two things to remember with alcohol. First, it is its own blood thinner, so you definitely don't want to over imbibe just for that reason. I'm not sure if its blood thinning properties are reflected in the INR or not. Secondly, its important not to get falling-down drunk because (a) that's never good and (b) it's really not good when you're on warfarin and injuries would be that much worse.
When it's summer time, how can I be expected to settle for just one vodka and club soda with a wedge of lime? I mean, I want one right now and it's like 9:20 am here.
rmb this gave me a good chuckle this morning!
