LOL Anne and they call me sic and twisted! Well I'm probably worse than you because I would want the PE so I could use it to aid in the cadaver training of my dog.

Do you guys ever watch that show The Doctors? I happened to have it on recently and they had a model showing how the clot travels to the lung. It bummed me out to watch. I love medical shows and do not get grossed out in the least, but when it comes to PEs, I get all uncomfortable about it. A little too close home for me, I guess.

On a side note, Ferr, I love that you work with animals in your job. I have a warm place in my heart for working dogs, like service, cadaver and search and rescue dogs. They are so fearless and so loyal. I just think how special they are.

I always wanted to do something like that, train a dog for rescue, but every dog I've ever had was too neurotic and messed up! I did manage to get my last dog licensed to be a therapy dog, but he was so easy going and sweet it was easy. I always felt like he was special.

Anyway, I love what you do.

ROFLMBO RMB My dog is so Neurotic. I couldn't help but laugh at your comment however Border Collies, Shepard's, and certain labs are considered genius dogs and the missile lock on they demonstrate and their neurotic tendencies make them ideal for SAR work, Drug work, and cadaver work. As far as Maks is concerned he is as neurotic as I am and also a type A personality, definately not a couch potato.
On a side note he is also a therapy dog for nursing homes and hospital work. He loves visiting the pediatric wards because children are his all time favorites. He also suffers from very deep depression when and if we have to find a child out on a search and we find the child deceased.

It just amazes me that the clot actually goes through your heart to your lungs. Thank God it doesn't get stuck in your heart. You'd be dead for sure!

Alicia, I didn't know either until after my *second* PE and then I had to look it up! I was too curious...

Thanks so much for sharing this. I've been curious about seeing the actual path now that I am far enough from diagnosis not to get as scared as I used to be. That was really interesting and helpful for me to send along to my family so they would understand too.
