Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

So today I conquered on of my few fears brought about by my PE experience. Since having my second PE a year and a half ago I would not travel far from home. I had a definite safe zone that was close to the hospital and close enough for an ambulance to get me. I would not travel anywhere remote particularly by car. I have travelled happily on planes to major cities. Strangely this doesn't bother me except it is physically uncomfortable.
Today I had to pick up my daughter from a remote camping area about 2 hrs drive from anywhere.
Way outside of my comfort zone.
Someone else was driving ( part 2 of my fear) . Again out side of my comfort zone.
I managed my 4 hour round trip part of it on dirt tracks and safely returned.
Fear conquered ! I am feeling exhilarated. I do not like living with fear and felt it was stopping me in life. It took a lot to say yes I would go.and I would have faith that nothing bad would happen. And I did it!
Happy, happy me:)

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
Great to hear when a fear is conquered in our journey as PE club members:)
I too tackled my fears yesterday. My boyfriend was doing a mud race in the middle of no where West Virginia. I was being a spectator which meant I went a few hours surrounded by all strangers. My anxiety about the day was through the roof - but I managed and the boyfriend was thankful that I was there.
It's funny. I hadn't realised how much of an impact this fear was having until I conquered it. I was allowing it way too much energy.
On the way the driver and I got into a conversation about things we would like to do. I am now looking for ways to make my dreams a reality.
My children and I share a genetic disability and I have brought them up to not let it stand in their way. After PE no.2. I became far more fixated on a couple of fears and forgot the lesson I had always taught them.
Moving past a fear has been so exciting.
I am getting back my 'it is what it is and I will work out how to do what I want to do anyway' attitude. :)
