Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
Today I did a breakthrough too during my daily two mile walking. I found I can run again and after running there's no pain in my chest. Today is my 2 month and 9 day post PE.
My severe chest pain actually lasted only a few days before PE and it became very minor when I was released from the hospital. However the pain came back 2 weeks after I was out of hospital when I tried to run and lasted a few days. Now my mojor symtoms are chest heaviness, soreness, and sometimes SOB.
I read your previous posts before and remember you were back to running not too long after your PE diagnosis. I believe it has helped your recovery a lot. This is quite encouraging to us!
