Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
I am about 15 months out of DVT/PE and I still have my days (if you read my posts from recently you'd see, gosh), lately I have been on a complete and utter downer but never fear, there is an end to it. I found myself getting so angry like yourself, and I spoke to my doctor about it. His suggestion was to really confide in someone who understands just to get it out. Its not good to keep it all bottled up. I know how crazy it makes you feel, all the emotions. Hopefully you will be feeling better soon and you get some relief from it all. Take some time out just for you to relax and regain a little peace from all the stress. All the best xx
Hang in there! I'm really glad you are seeing a counselor. See what she says about seeing her several times a week for a while. Sometimes you just gotta do the intensive therapy to get through this stuff.
But it does get better. And we're all pulling for you...
Of course, I suffered from depression before the PE so I am having a hard time differentiating between whether it is my depression or the PE that puts me in those ruts. On those days I force myself to either clean the house or go for a walk (anything that will distract you) and go to bed early (to escape the sadness). The extra sleep helps too!
I hope you are feeling better soon, and either way we will always be here to be your support system! :)
