Psoriasis is an immune-mediated disease which affects the skin and joints. When it affects the skin it commonly appears as red scaly elevated patches called plaques. So, I would concur with you that Vitamin D would help but under the guidance of your physician.
Have a blessed day dear !!!
I'm taking 3000 mg / day right now. Been almost a week and nothing's changed. Having this really sux the big rock.
I did read on another web site that d3 is not effective unless you take k2 also. I am currently taking 5,000 d3 and 100 mcg of k2. My psoriasis is getting much better, but I am also using a steroid cream and calcipotriene. So, I really can't say which is working.
You can get k2 from amazon or any nutrition shop. I could not find it in pharmacies. It is cheap, except at GNC. They must think theirs is better.
You can read more about the k2 connection at Inspire.com. Another support group.
Good luck,

HA!
I've never had any health issues until I hit my late 50's. I'd had this skin issue all summer. Pretty tired of the pain and embarrassment. But! I'm still motivated to try anything and everything. I've ordered about 3 months worth of K2 from Amazon today and will supplement it with the D3. I had read the two need to go together, so I appreciate the reminder.
I've started another round of probiotics, with plans on taking L-Lysine and Biotin for about 6 months. This is my internal program and I'm hoping it helps with the creams and soaps I'm using.
Will keep this page posted as to how it all works.
PS: I just found 'inspire' this week. Thanks
