Hi All I need help and advice on what to do...my psoriasis have extended to 60 percent of my body and getting worse, I have stopped all treatments for about 6 months couldn't take it anymore...what do you recommend? I want to start again...

Hi Vincenzo, I'd recommend ciclosporine, as it worked wonders for me. If that doesn't work, go on methotrexate. You're in UK friend, so it's all free. Don't need to suffer like that. Hugs

If its flaired up you do probably need to go back to whatever meds have worked in the past. I understand the need for a break in meds, if you have been off for 6 months then that is a great break, I have only a two week window then mine will quickly flare up to about 90% coverage. But sadly, there is no cure, so it becomes a decision, are the meds worse on you, or is the psoriasis worse on you. :D Try to keep up a happy spirit if you can, its hard I know. But stress is bad for psoriasis also. Hope you get feeling better soon. Psoriasis does psuck!

Hi Vincenzo- I'm new to this blog- and signed up to dialog about another issue. While looking over how the webpage was set up- I went right to 'my' life long issue- psoriasis. I have dealt with psoriasis my whole life- covering 60-70% of my body for long periods of time- cracking, bleeding, painful. For the past 5 years- about it covered 10%- currently, except for a couple stubborn spots- it's gone. And with some noce oil or lotion I can barely feel it for hours at a time.
I eat for my blood type- Eat Right For Your Type- Dr. Peter D'Adamo I'm an 'O'- Not wheat, no corn, no dairy. My doctor told me try it for 6 weeks, "if you want to go back to eating they way you did, go ahead". I have never looked back! The diet got me to 90% cure. The last 10% I attribute to what I call "Right Thinking"- caring for myself, not taking on things in life I cannot control, walking away from things that drain my energy for extended periods of time- like unproductive relationships, stress. My skin is my barameter for how well my life is going. I was able to go to counseling for about 6 months- I live in the USA- paid out of pocket :( Counseling helped get me on the right track for taking care of myself.

Interesting...I'm 0Rh- too and I read the book. Can't quite get myself to ditch the carbs and go back to hunters/gatherers diet. Maybe would be worth revisiting, if you had such good results.
But it syas no tomatoes in mine...to hell with carbs, I don't think I could do that...
