Are you burning at all? I've up to 3:10 after I think around 18 sessions or so and haven't had any issues yet. I can't really tell if it's working or not. Sometimes I think it is, then it comes back with a vengeance. So far I just think it's a big money sink.

I'm around 2:30, my skin's is a bit on the fair side. I'm not actually burning...but it certainly is very uncomfortable for 24 hours after the therapy. The results I've seen so far is less scaling, I used to be able to scratch off tons of scales, but now everything's all smooth...but very red, looks inflamed. The day after phototherapy, the skin turns a shade of light pink. I think it's working, but it's been a slow burn(pun).

I've never had a problem with it. I've had up to 5 min. See if the doctor willtry humira on u. It's a shot and I hope u have insuranse. Humira works great for me and I just have one spot left.

I have insurance. I can't use Humira or any systemic drugs, as I also have chronic Hepatitis B(dormant). Such drugs can activate the virus and probably kill me.

I did phototherapy for a year. Towards the last few months I was going 3 times a week at 4 minutes each treatment. It worked for a while, but it just conflicted with school and work so I had to stop. I just remember my skin being really sensitive after a treatment. Just keeping moisturized with Cetaphil constantly, soothed it. For some light therapy does wonders, so stick with it :)

So I'm up to around 4 minutes, I haven't been going as much now..mostly 1 day a week, but I something is different, the scaling on my legs, back, chest and face have pretty much gone away (aside from the ones that were affected the longest having "scarring" I think it'll go away. My arms still have quite a bit of red spots/scaling (not as much)....so maybe it does work. I haven't burned yet and haven't had any pain or itching

Light treatment does have some setbacks. Higher risks of certain cancers and can also cause irritation of the plaques and be very annoying. Itching is the most common. Calimine lotion does alleviate some most itching as long as you are not using cortisoid creams or tars. Even though light has it side affects, the benefits certainly out-weigh the risks. That's my experience with it!

Hey there, I will suggest an Over Teh Counter..Glycerin USP...6oz bottle of clear liquid available at WalMart for $3..apply 2 or 3X's a day. I have been using for 1 Wk and like what I see....

I feel your annoyance right now. I have laid 2 days in a row, The 1st day I think 4 minutes, then yesterday 6 minutes. My lesions are red as fire, raised and so irritated. But I know this is just part of the process before it calms down, flattens out and will be smooth as a baby's behind (lol)

But right now I have the tanning bed itch like WHOA!!!!! Speaking of it, I think I will run grab a shower, my Jergens, and get ready for bed. No tanning session for me tonight :)

By the way...I cope by, being strong willed, sucking it up, lots of moisturizer, and give it a little time. That's all we can do, wait it out and we will feel do much better!
