This is going to sound crazy but I'm sure some will understand. I do one of these two things when the itchiness gets the best of me. Not sure how many people remember those burn type things we did on our arms when we were kids. It is putting both hands around the arm or leg and twisting back and forth, each hand going in a different direction. It is much better than scratching and bleeding and maybe even spreading it.
Also, if you absolutely have to scratch it, try scratching downward only. Of course the scales will come off so be prepared but you will not injure your skin as you do when you itch round and round. Just sayin!! It works for me.

Indian Burns. thats what I do too with the downward itching. I also like to use a towel or like and old shirt. helps the itch w/o tearing it up.

I use a "wash mitt" or "scrunchie" in the shower. Its bliss!!! Loads of moisturising shower gel (no soap) and a good scrub. When I get out I then lather loads of heavy moisturiser on the wet skin. Helps the flakes stay off!!!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
