Hydrocortisone I have never found to work on my mild to moderate psoriasis.

In fact, nothing but light treatment helps my psorisis, in conjunction with steroid topicals. And my psoriasis is mostly just mild.

I\'ve been on hydrocortisone a few times for my psoriasis. I have to continue using it for it to continue working and it\'s not covered by my current health plan, so I have to budget for it every 8-12 weeks.

The good news is that it begins to work very quickly for me! When I began using it this past June, I had a patch of crusty pustular psoriasis covering a 4x6\" patch on the inside angle of my elbow that looked like a lot of the skin had been abraded off. Within a week of daily application, it had healed to look like fresh skin healing over a wound, and four months out it\'s almost the same texture as unaffected skin, just paler than the surrounding unaffected area.

I am 49 and just found out a couple of weeks ago that I have Psoriasis. I had suffered with it for almost 5 months without knowing what it was. The doctor gave me hydrocortisone cream. I have been using it a week and my patches are looking much better. I am going to keep using it until I feel comfortable that is completely gone. Then I am going to stop and see what happens. It makes me nervous to think about it.

well my doctor told me that it will NEVER go away .. that it will look alot beter with the creme, as mine did the second day i used it, and i stopeed and some weirdness is back....! so she said it will go and come.. be prepared.

I have been taking heavy duty prescription cortisone and it worked for a while but not so much now. I'm using it in combo with Narrowband UVB..

I have been using a steroid cream for a month once in the morning and at night. It made my patches much better. This weekend I skipped the morning application for a couple of days. My hand starting getting worse. I guess if I don't use the cream every day my psoriasis will come back.

the steroid creams don't seem to work for me much at all. there is a steroid clear lotion (smelly) called clobetisol that i use on my scalp which helps to keep it clear. i started putting it on my forearms and it helps, but only temporarily. i take steroids internally which have all but eleviated the recent flare-ups. but, it's not going away, the white spots remain. i know it could be a lot worse, but what a drag. good luck to everyone who suffers from this. thanks for listening.

ALL OF THESE PEOPLE USING STEROIDS SCARE ME!!!!!

its helping everywhere, especially on my elbows, but they gave me a 2.5% for my face, and although the red is going away slightly, its day today. Today looks worse than yesterday, and when it comes to those creams and my face, I really dont want to overdo it. But as far as the rest of my body goes, HUGE improvements in just 3 days.

Where is everyone getting the steroid cream? My doctor won't even consider prescribing me any. I must live in the wrong state. (CT)

To those who are hesitant to use steroid creams (Scratch) I asked my doctor for something with fewer/no steriods and I was prescribed Elidel cream (she said they use it on babies and children) It works the same as steriod cream worked for me.
