Hey! I've tried SO many lotions and creams from the drugstore, plus many expensive ones. If you're on a budget,I suggest you try the Aveeno moisturizer with oil. I don't know the proper name,but it's in a tan bottle with pink on the top and in writing. Also, Nivea lotion works great. I like the one with oil(it is not oily like baby oil,it's oily lotion,but not too oily,if you get what I mean)They make a generic of it and it works pretty much the same. Good luck!

This is something that I only use at night before bed because it is so heavy, but I have found that hands down Eucerin cream is the thickest, most moisturizing (greasy, lol) stuff around. It comes in lotion and cream. But I wouldn't use it to cover my entire body during the day, lol. Also Eucerin has come out with a body wash. Called Eucerin Calming Body Wash. It really helps with dryness.
For daytime use I have found that the Aveeno body moisturizers work well.
Anyway, all these products are at less than $10.00 each.

Vaseline Advanced Treatment (even the wal-mart brand works well) plus plain ole vaseline petroleum gel. Kinda yucky - but once it absorbs in your skin... ahhh.. relief.

Ive been using AmLactin for the last few weeks alternating with vasoline. AmLactin has 12% lactic acid in it to help get rid of the dead skin. It's seemed to hlp my psoriasis, but my 44 yr old combination skin face is looking awesome! I paid around $10 for a 4.9oz tube at Meijers.

I agree with arlene48. Eucerin is the best cream I've tried. I put it on the psoriasis on my elbows every morning after my shower, and it lasts all day.

One of the best moisturises you can get is Aqueous cream. Its cheap and comes in big tubs. But it\'s main ingredient is aqua, ie water. So it hydrates your skin really well. Also Liz Earle products can be quite handy, i\'ve been using Liz Earle Nourishing Botanical Body Cream because it doesn\'t make my skin greasy. I also use E45 shower products which work really well although I go through them very quickly.

I wouldn\'t put anything on my skin that I couldn\'t eat, because it all goes through my liver. I have found Coconut Oil to be very moisturizing and my skin soaks it up very well. You can actually use the coconut oit to cook, and even tho it\'s saturated fat (read about on Wikipedia) - it has very positive health benefits. Also - make sure the lotions you are buying don\'t have mineral oil in them.

Eucerin is very good but due to the extent of my p it can be pricey as a tube is gone in a short time. Vaseline (or any petroleum jelly) also eases the flakes and itching as well as most other creams and is the cheapest option I've found. It can also apparently helps absorb UV rays so handy to apply before a sun or lamp session.

Hi, sweet almond oil or wheat germ oil is the best to to stop the itching and soften the skin.

Coconut oil, almond oil, aveeno products, and vitamin e oil have all worked for me to help moisturize and keep my psoriasis at bay.

I use all the variations of Eucerin some of them are lighter for the face and thicker for the feet so this brand is my favorite and has honestly never let me down.

Be careful about starting with maybe a test area on you face if anyone starts using coconut oil on it. I know that people will be upset at me for saying this because coconut oil is all the rage. I use it on other parts of my body and agree that it’s wonderful for other parts but when I used it on my face, it gave me acne. Just test it for a few days in a small place on your face to see how it goes so that you don’t end up with a bunch of acne added to other skin problems.

Otherwise I used Aveeno moisturizer for about 15 years until this past year and peri menopause started causing me to breakout worse than in my teens. I read something about the sunscreen in moisturizer can sometimes cause problems. After a bunch of research, I decided to try Origins because they make moisturizers with and withOUT sunscreens. They are great about giving free samples to make sure before you spend money on the stuff (not cheap) that it is going to be okay for your skin. They are also great about their return policy in that if it causes you problems, you can return it (used & everything) for a full refund.

Right now I only have a spot of psoriasis on my lips and one eyelid. I use their Drink Up Intensive on my hot spots and either A Perfect World (day) or Night-a-Mins (night). A friend really likes their mushroom formulas to help her sensitive skin (she does NOT have psoriasis)

Someone recommended the Seaweed Bath Company lotion to me and I have been using it ever since on my patches. It works better than any of the prescriptions I’ve used (which were never very effective). I get it from Whole Foods

you don't have to spend anything just change your diet. The trigger for arthritis is in the food you are ingesting.
