Two visits were LP's to feel better.
The last one was a morphine shot to make me feel better.
And then sent home. The told me that since I had an appointment with my neurologist, there was nothing more they could do for me and that the only time I should come back to ER was if I went completely blind in either eye.

How long have you worked? You should be able to qualify for FMLA. It protects your job in the event of a family member or your own serious health condition. You are allowed up to 12 weeks per rolling calendar year. This is a federal law. Ask your drs to fill out the form and send it to your employer. They can not fire you if you follow correct protocol. It will allow you to call in when you are not feeling well due to this disease or if you have dr appts, etc... and they can not do anything to you. They would have to find other grounds to terminate employment that would need to be well documented to cover them from lawsuits.
I do hope you find some relief soon. Get your drs to fill the paperwork out asap. Good luck.
Hope
You need to go see a doctor and get on a pain managment program. Talk to them about your pain, tell them you understand the impact that IB profin can have and overuse of tylenol. They may be able to get you some pain meds and maybe something else to help you relax a little to at least let you sleep. I don't have a lot of answers when it comes to pain, it is a touchy issue with health care providers. I am lucky in that as a nurse, a well respected nurse manager in the community I am known and so they give me what I need. I have muscle relaxers and pain meds. One thing that the doctor recently started me on at night was tramadol. It sort of helps. You are taking far to many meds at once and that is concerning.
As far as your job, you need to get FMLA right away. As a manager, I encourage my staff to do that and right now I have it for myself. It is there for you, use it.
I feel for you, I can not immagine going through this without insurance. I am so sorry you are going through this right now.
