What can I take for the High Pressure Headaches??

I was diagnosed with PTC 8 years ago. I have been doing farely well. I was getting spinal taps regularly when I was first diagnosed. Since then I have not had a spinal tap in 3 years and have been on and off of my medication due to the medical miracles of CBD oil. Lately not even my CBD oil has been working. My neurologist states that I have papilledema in both eyes and my head has been hurting nonstop for the past month. This pain is driving me crazy. After 3 years of no pain I feel like I came back with a vengence. My eyes ache, my head hurts, my neck is stiff, and it feels like my spine is made up of a metal rod. I want to know what people take when their pain is this bad. My Neurologist sent some naproxen in for me. I have used everything imaginable OTC and prescription narcotics and nothing touches the pain. What can I take or do to relieve this pain?

I am taking all kinds of meds well. It took a long time until my red and I found the right combo. What ended up making the biggest difference was 40 mgs of lasix along with 300 mgs of Gabapentin, it could be that did jud t because I took tg th a long with a bunch id other meds as well butI healthiest after those.

Hello I just wanted to know when you have a pressure headache does it feel like something is squeezing your head

Hi godisawesom. Not all the way around. I feel like I’m laying on concrete and someone is pushing my head down hard into the concrete. The back of my head hurts the most, but I still get pain shooting into my eyes too.

I know someone who swore by ice baths. brrr.
the best thing for me is treating my sleep apnea. or Lasix, if symptoms are mild. it's best to get a sleep study because no one thought I had OSA back then. but jaw surgery for it put me into remission.
