I went to the dr today for pain in my lower right abdominal area. After some questions, she sent me for bloodwork, urine tests, and an ultrasound. The ultrasound showed moderate fluid in the endometrial area (I think that's what they called it). Gave me the diagnosis of a ruptured cyst and told me to take it easy.
My question is this, on my last shunt series the radiologist made note of some buildup being seen in the shunt tubing. Should I be calling the NS to make sure it's ok or am I just over reacting?

Sorry back to the serious - there is no such thing as a stupid question - where your health safety and well being is concerned. You are your own advocate. and you must put yourself first - because doctors have thousands of you and cant give you as much attentions as you can give you!!
For the sake of a 2 minute phone call you can have ultimate peace of mind. you dont have to run in, guns blazing - just ring to say you have had a scan that showed this, and wanted to make sure it had no impact on anything. Maybe they say no, that's fine thank you very much, have a nice day - hope you feel better soon. but wont you be glad if it was something they needed to know!!
I am sure it cant be fun - did the doctors give you any antibiotics or any drugs to help? (are they all safe with your IIH?) anyway do take it easy and I do hope you feel better soon!
