Very first shunt

I'm currently@the hosp after having my very vp shunt placed this afternoon.
Currently experiencing the worse pain possible. I hope it doesn't get any worse than this. Also positing for the best. Sorry guys, I'm always a huge baby when it comes to poison. At the same time I know my heavenly father won't give me more than I can handle, ;{ Although rt now He's mighty close........:)..

Please tell me this pain will let out. Also please excuse me, I should be sleep sleeping.

Excuse me & thanks Christa! I was almost out of it. I meant to say that I'm praying for the best & sorry for being a 'huge baby' when it comes to pain. I know things will get better just tring to find a little encouragement & stay focused on the positive. I knew it would be painful just having a hard time facing it at times.

Hey Toya, come on now, You have made the biggest decision yet in your life, to have the shunt.Have confidence in your self and that you have done the right thing.

As for the pain, I bet a lot of it is fear. That is all normal and you can pull your self thru it, I know you cam.

Keep focused on the result, no more hds and clear vision!
I still remember waking from my surgery, what a high!
Be brave and you will get thru this.
Your reactions are good, if you were not afraid, I would be worried.
I always say to my self in a difficult situation,this can only last so much longer.Then freedom.

Cant wait to hear back from you when its all all done and dusted!

Cath, how encouraging & uplifting just what I needed! I know Iwill i get through this, I have no choice & have been through so much worse. You're rt it was nothing but fear.

Rest, call dr with any questions and I hope implanting a shunt brings the relief you were told it would. Eat well too!

Toya, you are so brave. I just had my first vp shunt put in on the 29th. I was in so much pain for the first 3 days it was insane! I am so proud of you, it is such a hard decision to make, especially a vp shunt. I had a LP shunt placed and I was far less afraid of having it thn the vp. I was scared out of my mind to have brain surgery. I hope you are doing well beautiful. I am praying, praying, praying for a quick and safe recovery to you. I know just how it feels when you feel as if God has given you almost more than you can handle, but let his strength fill you and you will overcome! Let us know how you continue to do :)
