I'm still looking anyone found any help with cost. My Neuro has but me on Lasix and it is not working as well.
If I remember correctly the Time Release Formula of Diamox(I think the pills are orange) is name brand only and very expensive-high tier on insurance drug coverage co pays.
However, if your Dr takes you off the time release formula, the generic, Acetazolamide is covered by Insurance companies and very inexpensive out of pocket.
I was always on the generic which worked for me just fine...not sure if anyone else here feels the name brand was more effective for them...

I've been struggling with Acetazolamide costs myself. I'm on 2000mg/day. The extended release tabs do come in generic form now, but are still expensive, about $200/mo in my neighborhood. Generic tabs are cheaper, but still pricey, $74 at my big box drug store.

I don't know where you live so I picked some random place in Mississippi, and it came up as only $26/mo! WOW! The ER version is only $46. Zowie! GoodRx is really worth checking out.

That's it, I guess. The solution is to move to Mississippi so I can afford my medication.
www.goodrx.com will check all the drugstores in your local area, including big box stores like Costco and Sam's Club, and list their prices. The site also offers coupons to get them cheaper.
