Keep us updated on how your vision improves, changes etc. I have to go by what you guys say mostly to be able to assess what's going on with my daughter.
Question for you: Does the inside of your eye (corner) seem lumpy and thick from the clear covering bulking up? I know they cut the clear cover from your eyes and then detach the muscle, etc.etc. but when they close you backup, I notice they stitched that clear covering back on her eyes and it seems to have let loose or is bunched up in the corner of her eye? Anyway, I just hope it smoothes out...looks uncomfortable and lumpy.
Dardue - My eye is a little "lumpy" over there too, but it's also still very pink. I have antibiotic ointment to put in there and that goops up as well. I will say that I didn't expect to be so tired from the surgery. I kept thinking it would be hard to sit still with the rest of my body working fine, but I slept a lot up until yesterday. I can focus know for hours at a time on TV or computer, but my eyes still get tired and I have to rest.
Also, I read somewhere that double-vision, which is very common after this surgery, is due to post-operative swelling. I started icing with a bag of frozen peas before my patch came off, just 10 minutes here and there, and I haven't had any double-vision. Also, it hurts less when I sleep with my head elevated. I have these large yoga wedges I slept on when pregnant that I'm using again. Those two things have really kept swelling down, and I didn't have any bruising around my eye.
