Untill I joined this group a few days ago I didn't even know CSF could leak through your nasal cavity. So how do you know that is CSF? Is there a difference ?is there any pains associated with it? Is there a change in connsistency? I have no clue.

This is a question that crops up a lot.
While we do not have any medical or scientific results, we as a group as figured out;
The csf, when it runs from your nose or down the back of your throat, it tastes salty.
If, you catch it with a tissue, it will make a circle shape on the tissue, unlike any other excretions from the nose, which will just make a blob.
It seems to be a yellow color, light yellow.
It seems to simply run out of your nose, with no warning or sensation ,like you would have with a cold.
It tends to happen more, when you are bending over, or straining.But can happen for any reason.
Unusually, you will find your hd is a bad one that day.
You can, using a cotton Q-tip,being very sterile, catch a drop and put it in to a vial from the drs office and they can then test it. Its easy to test.
As to what can be done is another question.
I, have learned to put up with it.
Mine is usually in the back of my throat.
