I think this is something I will have to talk to my neurologist about also...the leaking down my throat comes and goes...when the pressure is high is when I notice it. This must be part ofwhy the Urgent Care doctor said that people with IH should be put on antibiotics right away if an ear or sinus infection is suspected

The vaccine only protects against meningoccocal bacteria, not from meningitis caused by other bacteria or from viruses. So still keep an eye on yourself.
I had white cells in the fluid from one of my LPs. My neuro thinks it was probably from a chronic sinus infection. I have no idea how an infection travels from the sinuses into the brain, but it did. I'm not aware of any leak of any kind.

And they are sure that its not just the IIh causing the problem? As in,that we all have hearing problems, but they are not permanent or "real" if you like.
But if there is some kind of damage done, it could account for your balance problems.
After I attended a Physiotherapist, a few weeks ago, he decided that, there was not much any one could do a long as my pressure remained high.
And this past week I have been really bad,and very glad I have got use to the walking stick as I think I would have been on my face a few times!
