I think I have bipolar.
Since I have had my LP Shunts, diamox, etc my symptoms of anxiety have been off and on. I think it varies as to how high my pressure is. Also, my neuro has told me that IIH causes brain damage and the brain takes a good bit of time to heal once the pressure is relieved. Don't give yet, you could still improve.
I would recommend seeing someone just to be sure, but after reading all of these posts I sure feel like this IIH has been the cause of ALL of my problems.
After reading what everyone has posted, i had to tell that i am also suffering with depression and anxiety. I have been suffering with depression as long as i can remember.Im now 32.I feel like ive been on every med out there.Im currently taking Welbutrin and Pristiq. It helps some for the depression, but i really need something for anxiety.I had a stroke in may of 09, so i have to get a lot of mri's. I used to be ok with them. But since the iih, i need to take valium to get through them. Another thing I used to hate going out, I felt like people talk about me and laugh at me.Now I only go out to go to doc appts and that is because i have to go there. When im there im a nervous wreck and cant wait to get out of there. Hubby does all the shopping by himself now. I dont even have my drivers license yet because of my anxiety and that was before the iih and its only gotten worse. When my headaches flare up it seems a lot worse.Im so edgy, sad, really really sad, i cry at pretty much anything. I thought it was a coincedence but after reading all this i know its not.I know im not alone.
