Does anyone take one of these for acid reflux? I started taking 40 mg of Protonix about 2 weeks ago for my GERD and I feel so much better. However, my PTC symptoms seem to have gotten worse (ear pressure and whooshing, headache and neck pain). I don't know if this is a coincidence. I haven't found anything online that suggests that PPIs raise intercranial pressure. Do you guys know anything about this? Thanks!
I can only add a bit of logic here. It seems we will never know what causes our pressure to rise. If I were you I would stop the new meds for a few days to see if those symptoms of PTC get any better. If they do you will have your answer. I would probably reintroduce the medication later to see if the symptoms are in alignment with this medication, since PTC symptoms vary all the time. For me, I go from no symptoms to literally all the symptoms, plus some.
I hope you figure this out soon. I think PTC is worse than Gerd. So i would probably try something new for awhile to see if there is any correlation between the two.

I have heartburn all the time...still in the process of the official PTC diagnosis...will know for sure Wed after LP...but I quit taking my prilosec because I wasn't sure if I should be taking it or not with the LP coming up and I have noticed no difference worse or better of my symptoms without taking it...except that I have heart burn, And have been eating tums at least 2x a day I will start it back if Dr oks soon cause Acid reflux hurts.
